The Jesuit Monks, who traveled from Spain to Argentina in the 1500s, settled peacefully amongst the indigenous people within the Andean region. Over time they became known for their spiral wood carving, which was incorporated into their architecture and furniture. Their artistry is the inspiration behind the design of our Andes knife. Using Guayubira wood from the Andes forests, we perform the same process as the Jesuit Monks and hand carve each handle.
